Algebra Policies (Hour 6):

Information about Tests and Quizzes for Algebra:
Anytime students take a test or a quiz they will be expected to make corrections until they get all the questions correct.

Additional Reminders about Algebra Requirements:
Students need to maintain an average of a B- (83%) or better in order to remain in Algebra. Those students who do not meet the grade requirement will be removed from Algebra at the end of the quarter or semester. Students earning less than a B- at the end of the school year will need to repeat Algebra as a freshman.

Those students who meet the grade requirement will be enrolled in Honors Geometry as a freshman.

8th Grade Math Policies (Hour 3, 4, & 7):

Information about Tests and Quizzes for 8th Grade Math:
Anytime students take a test or a quiz they will be expected to make corrections until they get all the questions correct.

Additional Information about Tests:
At the end of a module, students complete a review assignment. The following class period we go over the review assignment and complete an additional review activity before taking the module test. After the students take their test, they make corrections.

Students who do not earn a 90% or better will complete an additional review assignment and meet with me one on one to go over the additional review assignment. They will be required to take an additional test before moving on to the next module. Both assessments will count toward the student’s grade. Enrichment extra credit is also offered to these students after they take the second module test.

Students who earn a 90% or better will have enrichment work or a project that will be available for extra credit. They can use class time to complete the extra credit. These students are welcome to retake the module test to bring up their test averages.
